• Why we collect it: To personalize your weather experience
• Storage: All preference data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers

• What we collect: Basic app interaction data for crash reporting and performance monitoring
• Why we collect it: To improve app stability and user experience

Third-Party Services

National Weather Service (Weather Data)

We use the National Weather Service (weather.gov) API to fetch weather data. When you use the app, your location coordinates are sent to weather.gov to retrieve weather information. Anthropic (AI Features)

We use Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized weather descriptions. Weather data (not personal information) is sent to generate creative content. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy for more information.

Data Security

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Personal preferences are stored locally on your device
• We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data stored in the app through the Settings screen
• Delete: Clear all your data by uninstalling the app or using the “Reset App” option in Settings
• Opt-out: Deny location permissions (though this will limit app functionality)

Children's Privacy

Real Weather is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Due to the mature language options in the app, parental guidance is recommended.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the “Last Updated” date.
